About

My passion for drawing began when I was a child, and my special interest was horses. I spent as much time as possible at the stables, and when I was home, it was all about horse books, horse magazines, and drawing. My biggest role model was comic artist Lena Furberg, and I happily copied her animal characters when I drew illustrations. My aunt taught me how to draw cheerful, cute trolls, a subject I still have a soft spot for. Folklore, fairy tales, and John Bauer's illustrations also had a significant impact on my drawings from an early age.

Later, my focus shifted to pop surrealism, but fairy tale creatures and regular animals are something that often appears in my art. Along with headfooters, these figures create a magical world that I never tire of exploring.

Over the years, I have consumed an immense amount of information about art and creativity, and I also hold an Associate’s degree in art history. Books, courses, and videos together with ~40 years of practice, have given me a broad base of knowledge, which I will be sharing on my relaunched YouTube channel. I want to spread the wonderful joy that comes from creating art!
